This class is designed to provide opportunities for students with little or no prior food preparation experience to learn about nutritional needs and how food is prepared. Both classroom and laboratory experiences provide students with the basic food preparation skills for a healthy lifestyle. Information related to careers in foods and nutrition is incorporated throughout the course.
